Vymo’s rapid growth was a success story, but it also exposed critical fractures in our product foundation. A quick audit revealed several tangible business problems
1. Internationalisation Issues -
As Vymo expanded into Japan, Southeast Asia, and the US, the foundation of English language and India-centric components began to crack.
2. Accessibility Risk -
We were failing to meet universally accepted accessibility guidelines. This was not just a design failure; it was a direct business risk. Clients from Southeast Asia began to complain about the font being too small and about contrast issues.
3. Inefficient Development -
Without a single source of truth, every team was solving the same problems differently, as if everyone was working in silos.
